These sneakers will not keep your feet dry. Plan on wet socks if you step near a puddle or walk on wet grass. The “breathable” mesh is on the SOLE of the sneaker. We bought them for our kid to wear to school but returned them after I ran a little water over the sole to test them. The water went right through the sole into the sneaker!! Sorry but had to return these immediately.

This is a weight training shoe and one of the BEST to come out of Adidas (and others) in a long time.
This is not for your kid to go puddlejumping in, the breathable mesh on the bottom is for ventilation while working out and it does a stellar job. This is a weightlifting shoe.
Very versatile lifting shoe, squats, deads, shrugs/overhead press, etc., would not recommend this for running or plyo in any way shape or form…
Good toebox shape, decent arch, good heelcounter stability.

I wish there were more tread on the sole. This is an excellent light-weight walking shoe for streets, but it wore out faster that I imagined.
