I had reservations about this shoe initially, mainly because of the styling, but after test driving these hikers over the last few days, I am are sold on the fit and look of these shoes. Very happy.

I was surprised about how big they felt. Over all at least 1/2 – 1 size bigger then expected.

I ordered an 8 and this shoe looks and feels like a size 9. Way too big. Too bad because I like the look and it’s made well.

I usually wear an 8.5 and took a 9 in these. I put some hiking inserts for comfort and stability and they work well.. I’ve hiked in wet/marshy conditions and my feet stayed dry. Overall, these are comfortable and roomy.

I’m almost always an 8.5 to accommodate my wider foot, but with these I returned for an 8 and still they are almost too big. I’ll be adding a thin insole to fill some space and add arch support. First couple times in them, my toes fell asleep due to the lack of arch support and the insole pressing on the ball of my foot. But they are breaking in. I worried that wearing them with low ankle socks would cause rubbing on my ankles due to the tight cuff, but they actually did not rub or pinch at all. Finally, I tested them in a stream and after submerging the entire foot my socks were still dry. Mud rinses off fairly easily. These will work well for urban winter dog walking and hiking alike. The look makes my feet look big and takes some getting used to.

Wondering if I got a men’s size 10 and not a woman’s size 10
